Masterflex successfully DIN EN 9001:2015- certified
Masterflex SE in Gelsenkirchen has recently been accredited under the new international standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and is thus the first European manufacturer of technical hoses and connector systems to receive this distinction.
"We are very proud of this achievement and, of course, very pleased at our success," says Daniel Adamschik, Head of Quality Management at Masterflex. "This accreditation demonstrates how serious we take our obligations as a technology innovator and world market leader when it comes to our customers. It also confirms that we are well equipped to meet future challenges and requirements." The certificate was issued by the TÜV Nord accreditation body; compliance with the requirements of the standard will be regularly monitored and verified.
The international quality management standard ISO 9001 has been undergoing revision since 2012 and was published in its new version ISO 9001:2015 in September 2015, replacing the previous version ISO 9001:2008. The aim was to define future-viable and effective specifications for quality management systems in view of changes to quality management processes and developments in technology. "We thus undertook a detailed review of our whole quality management system to ensure it conformed to the requirements of the new 9001:2015 and modified it where necessary - successfully," adds Adamschik. This also means that, from the point of view of customers, the various processes will become more readily verifiable and transparent. Masterflex will now, for example, ensure that a more rigorous system of employee qualification is in place and that all personnel undergo continuous training to improve their know-how.
This accreditation is further proof that Masterflex, which began life in Gelsenkirchen in 1987 as Kunststofftechnik GmbH with just three employees, is capable of meeting the ever-increasing demands of the marketplace and mastering the growing complexity of products and services in the 21st century. The Masterflex Group currently employs more than 600 personnel worldwide; its present annual turnover is €64.1 million (2015).
