Masterflex Group Apprentices from Gelsenkirchen willingly lend a helping hand for a good cause
Christmas Donation & Support for Local Food Charity
Since the beginning of our cooperation with the Gelsenkirchen Food Charity in our anniversary year 2012, Masterflex SE has focused on this important project, making a point of supporting the local community with regular donations and aid activities.
We are proud to continue with the cooperation this year. Our Masterflex Group apprentices will be there, where they are needed – by lending a helping hand and packing Christmas parcels for two whole days at the charity’s main site in Gelsenkirchen: all donations made in kind to the Gelsenkirchen Food Charity during the pre-Christmas period have been tirelessly sorted and carefully packed, so that these will be under the Christmas trees of the Charity’s beneficiaries.
“It is nice to know that we can make a difference and do something good” says Leonie vom Sondern, commercial apprentice at the Masterflex Group. “We are better off than many others, that’s why we’re glad to do what we can to help”.
The Masterflex Group is proud of their apprentices’ dedication – six young men and women at the start of their careers – and would like to take the opportunity and underline our commitment by donating € 1000 Euros to this worthwhile local cause.
This enthusiastic and energetic support of the company’s apprentices marks a welcome continuation of the tradition from the previous year. The project was organised by the trainees themselves and saw donations made in kind to the charity in the form of festive food contributions by the whole of the Masterflex SE workforce at the Gelsenkirchen site and head office.
“I’m glad that we can continue this great tradition thanks to the dedication and contribution of our own apprentices” said the Masterflex Group CEO, Dr. Andreas Bastin. “With this, the Christmas spirit is not only kept alive and well in our company, but is passed on to others“.
